Ali Larter and Margie Larter
From Instyle Magazine (US) by C.P

Margie: Ali was a wonderful child. She wasn't much of a girlie girl. She was a jock. We would dress her up and send her off, but inevitably she'd come back with one sock off. She was always having fun.

Ali: Growing up, there was never a question of whether my mom was going to be there or not. I don't think i learned the value of that until i got older. If we got snowed in we'd have special time together - my sister and i would snuggle in bed with her; we'd bake and make personal pizzas.

From NBC (US-2008) from the Official Heroes Magazine

Arggh! Did Niki Sanders really die in that explosion in the season two finale? True to Heroes form, even if actress Ali Larter knows, she can't and won't tell us! Here's what the actress from New Jersey - who had four feature films out in 2007 (the sci-fi action thriller Resident Evil: Extinction, the music drama Crazy, the Indian musical comedy Marigold, and the National Lampoon farce Homo Erectus) - can say about Heroes and her super-strong, multi-persona character.

What puts off Ali Larter
From DNA India (US-2008) by After Hours Correspondent

The Heroes Season 2 actor confesses that she detests guys who gym excessively.

In the first season of Heroes, your character had two conflicting personalities.

They were two different characters (Niki and Jessica) with different desires and problems. When Jessica was first introduced, I’d already started thinking about her as the devil. Jessica wears more makeup and her hair, clothes and shoes are always perfect. Niki is just trying to take care of her son, trying to understand what’s happening to her.

The Woman in the Mirror
From 9thWonders.com (US-2006) by Craig Byrne

Movie watchers have been familiar with Ali Larter for nearly ten years. She made her movie debut in Varsity Blues which led her into memorable roles in Legally Blonde and the first two Final Destination fans. To the legions of Kevin Smith fans, she was seen as a fast-food-eating jewel thief in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Ali recently completed work on the movie sequel Resident Evil 3 playing Claire Redfield, a new addition to the film series who appeared in one of the earlier video game installmens.

Now she makes her TV series debut in Heroes, where she plays a single mother named Niki Sanders who must deal with the hardships in her life, all while being haunted by the face in the mirror.

If the pilot episode is any indication, this first journey into television is a great one, as Niki is one of the most fascinating characters in the ensemble. Ali was kind enough to provide 9thwonders.com with an interview, which you can read here.

"Heroes" Vixen Reveals the Devil Inside!
From TVGuide.com (US-2006) by Matt Webb Mitovich

Ali Larter, whom you have seen on the big screen in such fare as Varsity Blues and two Final Destination films, is now channeling her inner... something... as superpowered single mom Niki Sanders on NBC's recently premiered Heroes (Mondays at 9 pm/ET). In this Q&A with TVGuide.com, the actress sheds light on Niki's special ability, teases a steamy hookup ahead and surveys Heroes' overall mythology.

TVGuide.com: Obviously you've been paying the bills doing films. What made you decide to commit to Heroes?
For me it doesn’t matter if it's film or television or theater, I'm just looking to play complicated characters, roles that really push me, and Niki is a very complicated, multifaceted, dramatic woman. When I read it I wasn’t even thinking about the sci-fi side. For me, it was about a woman whose world was crumbling around her.

20 Questions
From Playboy (US-2007) by David Rensin

TV's hottest hero talks about her on-screen split personality, discusses chest size, learns to pole dance and explains why her ideal man has to be a sports fan.

Question 1:

PLAYBOY: On Heroes you play two parts: Niki, the good girl, and her dead sister, Jessica, who is trouble. Since they now see each other only in reflective surfaces, how has your role changed your own mirror routine?

Not much. I feel mirrors are more for when you're young and nervous and judging yourself. When I look in the mirror now, I see happy. There's a little twinkle in my eye. It's a nice time in my life. There are always ups and downs and in-betweens, but my family is healthy. I'm in love with my boyfriend, and I love my TV show. It's a nice moment. And here comes the hurricane! [laughs].
